About the Programme 

The online career prep programme, CareerPrepKEYS, was created to provide Caribbean secondary students with the necessary support, services and resources for the discovery and development of their professional career goals. KEYS will provide students with the tools to build a solid foundation to create, refine and implement their plan and self-market. 

Sessions take place on Saturdays in group format - one instructor/guest speaker to multiple students. The sessions will be led by global industry professionals, covering diverse careers, with a particular focus on careers in sustainability. Our aim is to expose the students to the world of possibilities beyond the traditional school-leaving jobs generally available to them. In these sessions, students will benefit from:

• career exploration and planning
• learning how to highlight their abilities, experiences, and accomplishments through their resumes, CVs and cover letters
• partaking in project-based learning to gain real-world skills
• learning how to prepare for interviews, interview tips, how to follow up, and more
• meeting industry professionals through regular career exploration and networking events
• soft skills development 
• learning how to apply for summer jobs, internships, apprenticeships or part-time jobs in their field of interest
• learning how to use professional social networking
